• Accountable: A business sponsor of the business case who is account-

able to sign off the delivery of the solution as defined in the business

case.

• Consulted: Blockchain SMEs, evangelists, third parties and block-

chain associations, whose opinion and expert advice is crucial for the

outcome delivery as defined in the business case.

• Informed: Blockchain consortium members, regulators, interested

parties in the project/programme deliverables and any other inter-

ested parties who might be impacted or benefit from completion of

the deliverables (Figure 7.1).

Alignment to strategy

All deliverables, as defined in the business case, should be aligned to the

organisation strategy. The sponsor and other key stakeholders will be reluc-

tant to sign off the business case if the outcomes are not aligned to strate-

gic objectives of the company. For instance, if a strategic objective of the

company is to establish a successful consortium with third parties within a

blockchain-based supply chain solution, solving the interoperability of the

various products is a key outcome. It should also be aligned to the strategic

objective of the company.

Responsible

(Individuals who does the work to complete a task or

activities that are part of the project or programme)

Project manager, Programme manager, vendor or

consulting firm who has been assigned to deliver the

solution as part of the Business case.

Accountable

(Accountable person is an individual who act an approver

or final authority to make a decision)

A business sponsor of the business case who is

accountable to sign-off the delivery of the solution as

defined in the business case.

Consulted

(These are the SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) who provides

their expert knowledge and experience)

Blockchain SMEs (Subject Matter Expert), evangelist, third

parties and Blockchain associations, whose opinion and

expert advice is crucial for the outcome delivery as defined

in the business case.

Informed

(These individuals are kept up to date on the progress and

completion of the deliverables throughout the lifecycle of

the programme/project)

Blockchain Consortium members, regulators, interested

parties in the project/programme deliverables and any

other interested parties who might be impacted or benefit

from completion of the deliverables.
